Forum slow to send out password resets

Dunno if this has already been reported but:

I believe he might be considering moving back to PN and he's quite influential over at TBB Wink

Re: Forum slow to send out password resets

It's not just password resets.  It also affects other Profile changes, like changing Email address where you have to wait for the verification email to arrive.  Meanwhile you're in 'No man's land' and cannot post.

The delay appears to be across the Lithium domain - about 3 hours in my case.

Re: Forum slow to send out password resets

If anyone experiencing this can private message me the email headers from any delayed emails then it would be appreciated.

Re: Forum slow to send out password resets

After a dozen limbo reset tries finally an email arrives. A few days of trying with no results and on the thirteenth try, a little while ago, and an email appears almost instantly.

Plusnets "helpful" suggestion was have you checked your spam filters.

My only thoughts on the problem is that finally Plusnet turned their computer off then on again.

Re: Forum slow to send out password resets

The problem is on Lithium servers, and there also appears to be a "grey-listing" issue by some providers.

Both I believe are being looked at.

Both I believe are being looked at.

It will take someone like bob to feedback to Lithium why they are being grey-listed by some providers and they need to perhaps make some changes to ensure they respond to some basic anti-spam measures.

As far as the providers go Vidahost has sorted it for me.
Those affected on TSO will only be those using their C-Panel (not cloud) based hosting.  Hopefully theirs should be sorted soon too.

Anyone else with other providers will have to contact their hosts themselves.

Re: Forum slow to send out password resets

alerts for the above two answers took ages to get to me

Post time 12:51 alert arrived at 4:30

Post time 1:52 alert arrived at 7:30

Looks like something is wrong, I still have both mails if the internet headers will help.

Re: Forum slow to send out password resets

Yes please. Drop me a PM containing the headers. I may not reply, but I'll use the evidence in the open ticket we have about the issue.
