Attn :- Superuser group - Annoying Pop-up amounting to harassment.

Attention all super user group members..... PLEASE can you find some way of stopping that anoying pop up that comes up every few minutes about a survey....  I have clicked NO THANKS a million times, and it still insists on coming back to annoy.

Surely, if you say NO it means NO..

. I don`t want to answer your stupid questions, stop harassing me..

It never used to happen, on the old forum, and has only recently started on this one...

there should be a law against harassment..... oh ... yes,.... there is....  but does it apply to this kind of harassment  ?

stop using cc cleaner to get rid of cookies - as I assume that it is what you are doing as nobody else is having the problem

Re: Attn :- Superuser group - Annoying Pop-up amounting to harassment.

another way to stop it, ( maybe ) is to answer yes, and go through the survey.... but.

..... why should I be bullied and harassed into taking a survey ?

I have said NO Thanks  and I mean NO Thanks.... ...

Re: Attn :- Superuser group - Annoying Pop-up amounting to harassment.

but since the fact that you said no is recorded in a cookie which you then delete makes it your problem doesn't it

Re: Attn :- Superuser group - Annoying Pop-up amounting to harassment.

Topic already discussed at length here and here @shutter

Message #13; 15; 24 are of interest in the second link.

@jaread83 has raised the issue with lithium, but I guess had no positive response yet.

perhaps Plusnet will re-assess the value gained from the survey against the annoyance caused?  Angel

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Attn :- Superuser group - Annoying Pop-up amounting to harassment.

that wasn't as stated here https://community.plus.net/t5/Community-Site-Feedback/Community-Feedback-Survey/m-p/1457482#M13136

Thanks for everyone's feedback on this.

As some of you have pointed out this is cookie based and there isn't anything we can do to change this as it's set within the platform.

Re: Attn :- Superuser group - Annoying Pop-up amounting to harassment.

I have had it a couple of times I think, but not frequently enough to annoy me.

I don't know why it isn't set an account level on the server, presumably it then makes it appear to be anonymous if you don't have to login?

If the OP had some kind of blocker, I would have thought they would have noticed it on other sites too?

Yes... those two links were dated FEBRUARY and JULY... and I`m still being bullied and harassed.

And NO... I haven`t deleted the cookies.... using CCleaner...

Why only "perhaps"..... surely this is something that this new "SuperUsers" group is supposed to be harassing and bullying them into doing something about it....

Re: Attn :- Superuser group - Annoying Pop-up amounting to harassment.

@MauriceC  & @Oldjim  Been out since my last post this moring....  just come back home...booted up... on to the forum to post the previoius reply.... have not, repeat, have NOT used CCleaner,... and I have just been bullied and harassed again.... Angry

So it`s got nowt to do with ccleaner.... it`s just downright annoying.... very similar to that geezer on the telly coming on and saying "we`ll do you proud"... and what super "award winning customer service"  Plusnet has.... Angry

Re: Attn :- Superuser group - Annoying Pop-up amounting to harassment.

Yesterday I had a couple of these popups in quick succession.

Yes I use cc but I do not delete the forum cookie.

These popups seem random with no rhyme or reason.

Someone needs to get a grip.

You could try completing it (put in fictious answers, if you feel to - will be quicker), rather than saying No.
See if it goes away?

Maybe that is the answer.

The popups continue until you put in the answers that plusnet want.

Re: Attn :- Superuser group - Annoying Pop-up amounting to harassment.

Bullied and harassed - is that not a bit strong?

I completed the survey earlier in the year but a few days ago got another pop up. Didn't take the survey again and expect I may get another pop up some time again which I will just cancel.

It takes a moment or two to cancel so, to me, a minor inconvenience rather than anything else.

What annoys me a tad more is when you have been on a new website for just a minute or two then getting a Feedback pop-up.
