Community Site Maintenance 11th June

We've got planned maintenance on our community servers early tomorrow morning(11th June). This is going to take no more than an hour and is planned for between 5.00am - 6.00am. You should not notice any impact during this time.
This should hopefully resolve a few issues we've seen recently as mentioned here and here.
We've posted a service status. Please shout up if you see anything amiss.

Are you any closer to finding out, if

Yep.  We still think it's a  load balancing issue.  We're talking to the vendor of the load balancer to work out why it's not working.

If so, have you received any update from the vendor ?Huh

That said
Could this report from Loadbalancer.org have some bearing on the issue(s) http://blog.loadbalancer.org/heartbleed-2-0-not-exactly-but-more-openssl-issues-have-been-found/ ?Huh

Nope.  We don't use their devices.  We know what the problem was causing the stuff Purleigh was seeing (and therefore some of the other weird stuff) and actually fixed it the other day, but that fix introduced another issue.

Would you be so kind, to enlighten as to what, was / is causing the issue(s) Purleigh was seeing, that you had to roll back to

Configuration change to the load balancer in front of the community site servers.  I don't really know much more of the detail.

The responsiveness has been quite poor over recent days... Jess where is this in the priority list please?

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Community Site Maintenance 11th June

It seems that Priority issue(s) are either not being put on the list, being brushed under the carpet
Will Plusnet honestly hold hand on heart & explain the reality of the ongoing issue(s) & if they are ever going to get them fixed in a relative timeframe / since some issue(s) are @ least 2 or more years old ?Huh

We currently have no open priority problems

Rather says it all really - I respectfully suggest this is a spin on "We have yet to prioritise our open problems, indeed prioritising is not a priority, for if we did, the depth of the exposed swamp would be just too embarrassing.

A little further down that thread, Kelly states he's trying to prioritise this work... given that there are no other open priority problems, them how difficult is it to add this to the list, indeed the top of an empty list?

@Jess - thinking about the many requests for priority things to be addressed, may be at the top of the list should be "Make prioritisation the top priority..."

Re: Community Site Maintenance 11th June

Perhaps what might be more effective, would be a new thread in 'Feedback' about what each of you feel should be prioritised?
Jess will get round to responding, but as I'm sure you can appreciate, we're working to ensure that the merging of the two teams works properly and effectively, something we're devoting a lot of time to at the moment.

Perhaps you could start with some of the things mentioned in this thread... http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,120823.0.html ?
