Re: Where is my Router ?

None yet I'm afraid.
It depends on the engineer availability and I think it's reasonable to give it 24 hours from my last call before I go back to oush for further information.

I wonder how many "Engineers" as apposed to "Technicians" BT send out to fix faults
as an aside - I wonder how many Chartered Engineers are employed by PN - i.e members if IEE  http://www.theiet.org/
how many qualified technicians ??

Re: Where is my Router ?

I would consider my self as a mechanical Engineer, I did get an HNC, but never got institute membership,  Did 43 Years.  About the time that I left Employ, I think that the EU were making "sounds" that you had to be up to that grade before you could call yourself an engineer.  My end job was an Experimental bod who handled very expensive prototypes and equally expensive test equipement having definite meaning to the End user public.   So perhaps your sentiments have some meaning..
No disrespect to Mitch, he is trying to improve his knowledge, and there is a saying that those who think they know every thing know nought, but he is not the first "paper monkey" we have had recently, one was proud to put his web site details, but personally I would not have touched him with a barge pole.

Re: Where is my Router ?

Yep - They needed to re-jumper your line, which appears to have resolved the issue, as we suspected it would.
I can see you physically connected, so there shouldn't be any issues when you get in.

Re: Where is my Router ?

I love a happy ending. Smiley
Looks like I'll have to go and find a book to read now. Sad
Congratulations on your new connection, Philip.
Well done to James and Plusnet for getting it all sorted out.
