Upgrading to Fibre

I've been on unlimited copper technology with Plusnet without a contract for sometime - I'm thinking about upgrading to fibre and it seems to indicate I must lose by current landline.  Is there anyway round this.

Re: Upgrading to Fibre

@stepea001 Do you mean you are currently on FTTC with a phone line? - that's how I read your post but please confirm - and you are thinking of moving to Full Fibre, which does mean you lose the land-line - FF does not have any voice capability.

If you do decide to move to FF, and stay with PN , you will have to arrange your own VoIP service.

@stepea001

Uncontracted is an expensive way to access the net.

You can renew your contract "as is" if you wish by phone PN but be aware you'll lose your landline anyway in the near future with the switchoff of PSTN.

As stated, if you move to Full Fibre (assuming it's available) your landline goes. You have two choices - stay with PN and use an independant VOIP supplier for your phone services or move to an ISP like Zen Internet who offer both though the landline will be VOIP (like any other supplier).

Try phoning the PlusNet Customer Options Team on 0800 013 2632 to see what your options are.
