Unable to connect device to plusnet

I have gotten message today to say my plusnet is activated. I have set up the router to my openreach box exactly how it says in the booklet & also followed youtube tutorials.

My box is blue showing that its connected to the broadband. But when i try to connect my phone to the wifi, it brings me up to the Hub Manager website. When i try to leave the website it says "Use without internet". Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to do something on the Hub Manager? The wifi bars on my phone are up but there is no internet connection

Re: Unable to connect device to plusnet

I’ve also noticed in technical log of hub manager it says “setup@plusdsl.net” how do I change this? And how do I find my plusdsl net name

That explains your issue. Your PN 'name' is that you agreed with Plusnet, and, from memory, is confirmed in a 'welcome' email.

Re: Unable to connect device to plusnet

I know you didn't sign up with a 'setup' account. The easiest way to sort this is to reset the Hub by holding a paper-clip r similar in the reset hole on the  rear  of the hub until the light goes green (I think), then waiting until it returns to blue.

@Katelynj

It looks like that whilst Openreach has enabled the connection, Plusnet have not yet completed setting up your account. This can take up until midnight.

Re: Unable to connect device to plusnet

In that case, @Katelynj , I suspect @Baldrick1 is correct - post back tomorrow if you still have issues.

Unfortunately, the PN systems are a little slow to update.

@Katelynj

If the message came from Openreach, them give it time. If it came from Plusnet then ring them.

Fix

@Katelynj

You could try adding your broadband username and password on your Hub navigate

->Home -->Advanced settings --->Broadband ----> Internet

make sure the hub is in the disconnected state, username is in the format youraccountname@plusdsl.net and the members centre password.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
