Swapping over to SOGEA. How long for phone to disconnect?

I'm switching over to a SOGEA connection today and I've received a message from Plusnet a couple of hours ago to say the product change has completed. Nevertheless, my landline still has dial tone. Is this usual? How long does it take to disconnect?

The phone line number may not be your one, sometimes a temporary number is assigned. Dial 17070 it find out.
Was a member for years, but moved from PN fttc to fttp from an AltNet. Getting 940Mb up and down. Happy to stay on here and try to help others. 

It still rings when I ring my number. I thought the line would go dead.

@Annie I bet you wouldn't be able to make outgoing calls though, or actually hear anyone on an incoming one. It can take a few hours to go totally 'dead'.

Cheers John. I'll wait a bit longer.
