Stuck on ADSL2+

Believe the DMT tool show what is available not what's being used. Hence why some bins disappear during the night.

No idea as I can't use the DMT tool but what you say makes sense as he says that the line is syncing at a full 8mb indicating he is on ADSL1.
Having said that if there was interference that's probably what you would expect to see, Download starting on a later frequency bin with a curved uptake.
......and now I am very out of my depth.
