Broadband went down late Sunday 8 July and on Monday 9th I found that phone was down to. The phone fault was repaired today.
It seems there was a small crack in a wire in the grey box outside my house, caused by a nick in a wire made when stripped back. A slug had got in and was against wire. That with corrosion caused the fault.
I am back on line now but instead of my usual ~8500kbps, 4.5 SNR, 46.5 Att I am getting results as below.
I assume it has to do with the many attempted to sync before I knew phone was down and to set up this morning.
Can the SNR be reduced to a more reasonable level please?
Uptime: 0 days, 0:07:43
DSL Type: G.992.5 annex A
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 440 / 283
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [kB/kB]: 0.00 / 4.00
Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12.5 / 0.0
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 26.0 / 47.0
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 19.5 / 14.5
Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / IFTN
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Link (Remote): 0
Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
FEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 361
CRC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 0
HEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 0
Edit:
Just noted some others are having similar speed problems, though I would doubt mine can be at all to do with my end, since recent repair.
Edit #2. BT speed test tried but failing HTTP 500!

No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

Hi lucerne,
With the fault you had on your line it caused tour IP profile to drop, hence your slow speeds. Your connection is looking good at the moment, just need to make sure it is stable. Providing it is then we can SNR reset your line, which will hopefully reduce your noise level and also set your IP profile correct then you'll be back to your expected speeds.
Leave your router switched on and I'll check back on your connection in the morning.
Chris

Just checked your line again and it is now showing that your IP profile has corrected it's self and your noise level is also lower.
Check it again and hopefully you'll be back to normal.
Any problems let me know
Chris
