It is interesting but only in regards to Dr.Bob mixing Bytes and bits in the units he is mentioning.  It is also interesting that the constraining factor in his wired transfer is probably the access/read/write speed of the hard drives, not the network.
Either way, I got rather confused trying to guess what's what with the transfer speeds mentioned.  For the avoidance of doubt a vanilla 108.11g WiFi connection advertised as 54 Mbps (mega bits per second) can only achieve a half duplex throughput speed of 24 Mbps:  http://www.54g.org/54g_features_quickspecs.php
