For several years I have had a default SNR of 3 some of this time with my previous ISP.
For the past few months my SNR has been either 6 or 9, I haven't done much about it as my wife has sever dementia and this takes priority.
During the wet and windy weather this afternoon the internet kept dropping and I recorded
Normally I can record several hours of stable SNR at whatever default.
Over the time that the default SNR has kept dropping and rising - yes the DLM seems to work - I have changed the filter to no effect.
I don't have a DTE so no master socket but I do have an LJU with no hard wired extensions with the filter plugged into it .
I would appreciate any help that Plusnet readers of this post can give.

I know from experience that unless BT can hear the noise not much gets done.
Problem is that a few minutes of noise can undo the 400 or so hours the DLM takes to drop the SNR

Having checked your account I can see that this doesn't seem to be causing any connection drops (as per the graph posted below).
Realistically unless this is causing a drop in speeds (i.e a reduction in synch speeds and perhaps the IP profile as a result) there might not be much we can do. Whilst on the other hand if the speeds are unaffected surely that means that the phenomena you've noticed shouldn't be having any kind of negative impact on your use of the connection.
If however you do see a reduction in speeds during periods of bad weather then it would be a good idea to test the speeds at that time: http://www.speedtester.bt.com

This picture shows my uncorrected errors per 15 minutes - you can see when we had heavy rain.
Note that the connection remained stable the whole time

The speed takes a dive
at the same time as the SNR

Did PN do something?
If so thanks a lot, if not it's yet another adsl mystery!!
EDIT
PN profile 9.4 , quick change so I assume something was done manually, thanks a lot. Just see how long it it takes DLM to change things.

As speeds do seem to be an issue assuming you're also experiencing the same bad weather as we are here in Yorkshire? in that case I'd get some speed tests done via the BT tester and then go back to http://faults.plus.net as it looks a like a few more bits of information need filling out there if you want to log a fault.

This morning the internet dropped for about two minutes, during which I also lost dial tone, it then did it again about half an hour later.
Engineer booked for Friday afternoon, man on phone convinced that changing the LJU for an NTE will fix it, looks like I might get an NTE with filtered faceplate for free.
Did some BT speed test as suggested although it freezes on 'sending results to server' most of the time.
All last night http://faults.plus.net/ came up with 'error, try later or contact us' so didn't do anything there.

However, I wanted to point out something about the first graph you show...
Where the line is graphed in blue, it represents a real reading. If the line drops to zero in this colour, then it means the program got a correct zero reading from the router.
However, when the line drops to zero with a red colour, it represents a failure to read data from the router. If Routerstats then gets a valid reading next time, the line going back upward will be in blue again - which, because it is drawn afterwards, can hide a portion of the previous red line.
If you are getting a lot of red portions, it could be an indication of internal problem - either on ethernet or on WiFi (though obviously Wifi is more likely to cause such errors).
Using FTTC since 2011. Currently on 80/20 Unlimited Fibre Extra.

I hadn't realized the significance but it does explain why the SNR changes by DLM did not correlate with what I was seeing.
It also explains why the radius graphs I have obtained from Plusnet only show some drops.
Hopefully the OR visit will lead to curing the black drops and stop the SNR yo-yo and occasional loss of dial tone.
As to the red drops they are showing on both the desktop on ethernet and the laptop on wireless, maybe it's the router, I'm prepared to live with them for the moment and get the line drops sorted first.
Roll on Friday and see what happens.

NFF but changed LJU to DTE and undid terminals and crimped leads in an internal junction box that the line goes through on the way to the drop wire
.
Since then no drops and DLM has reduced SNR to 3, now synching at 12024 as in the old days, BT profile 10610, will let you know if PN doesn't catch up in a day or two.
Awaiting serious rain to see what happens.
The red drops were associated with the use of inSSIDer, may try giving it it's own user for router if I ever use it again.
