Plusnet Fibre (SOLVED so it seems)

I've just had Plusnet Fibre installed, now the speeds I should be getting (according to the openreach chap) are about 60mbps up and about 17mpbs down.  
I've just done a speed test and I'm getting this.  Now he reckons it might be the cable conecting the router and the pc needs replacing.  Does this sound right?

Log in to the router. disconnect/reconnect and try again

Not to worry, after going upstairs and setting up my xbox 360 and my laptop.  It has now gone up - http://speedtest.net/result/2405339873.png.
