Part fibre broadband New Customer

My daughter is renting a flat in Leeds (LS1) 12 month tenancy. While she can order 12 month Full Fibre contract that would mean drilling holes in the wall which she would prefer to avoid. (Would need the landlords permission)

There is an existing part fibre broadband connection with or without a telephone number which she would like to (re)activate. Ideally PlusNet as they are one of the few providers offering 12 month contracts.

I know broadband providers are keen on switch everyone to full fibre when available but my daughter's situation is not unique.

Any Advise

Re: Part fibre broadband New Customer

@JohnnyMo1 it will depend on whether the exchange is 'Fibre priority' , if it is then ONLY Full fibre can be ordered.

Check using the BTwholesale checker https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome

Re: Part fibre broadband New Customer

That was useful but the answer is

Exchange Product Restrictions Status
FTTP Priority Exchange N
WLR Withdrawal Y
SOADSL Restriction N

So I assume part-fibre should still be available

Fix

Thanks for that .

Yes , part fibre (SoGEA) should be available. ISPs are reluctant to sell SoGEA where FTTP is available, so you will probably find that its not available via an online order, you MAY have to call sales to get it.

Thanks, I'll let you know how my daughter gets on calling the sales desk.

Re: Part fibre broadband New Customer

Sales desk said the area was  'Fibre priority' so could not sell part-fibre to new clients suggested a mobile data hot spot device which she has installed
