Re: Only getting 20Mb download on 60Mb service

Hi Scuda
I can see that we've got a fault raised at present.
We'll be progressing the response from this very soon and be in touch.
Thanks for your patience.

Re: Only getting 20Mb download on 60Mb service

The good news is that the fault has been fixed!
After two other BT engineers had failed to identify the problem, I was sceptical when a third visit was arranged. This engineer listened to my history of the fault, did a few checks, then phoned a friend at the exchange. After looking at the circuit stats, his friend spotted a 20/20 where there should have been an 80/20. After correcting this, download speed responded immediately, and my broadband was back to normal.
It only took three weeks to sort it out!
Perhaps all BT engineers should include this circuit parameter check on their list?

Glad this is fixed.
@CRT,
A tricky one!  Profiles and everything looked fine...
Sounds like a BTw issue / fix.  Is this parameter visible to PlusNET?  Could PlusNET have changed (corrected) it?  Any clues on how / who / where it got set wrong?

I want to say you need a circuit rebuilt / reset ... that sounds like what was needed with SWMBO after bad storms dropped her line profile down to 0.5Mbps and kept it there, even after weeks of 8Mbps sync.

Nailed it.
I should work for PlusNet on the CRT  Grin
