@goldenfibre That doesn't sound right to me. You are not downgrading with your existing ISP but migrating to a different supplier so should be able to order any available service.

SOGFAST > SOGFAST order accepted
FTTC > FTTC order accepted
FTTP > FTTP order accepted
SOGEA > SOGEA order accepted
SOGFAST > SOGEA order declined

Have you called Plusnet?
You need to go to an authoritative source ... and at some point TRY to place an order. Until you do that, you will not know anything for sure.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

The 24 months seem put me off of signing up (where is option for 12 months?) The price will go up £28.99 and again £31.99 in 24 months - no thanks!

Give them a call - they may offer you a 12-month contract, but it will be more expensive.

I knew it, 12 months contract are probably more dearer than 24 month - probably more than £31.99 a month is so ridiculous as SoGEA 80/20 should be cheaper now to replaced old SoGEA 40/10 at around £19.99. Really fed up with the pricing seem unfair!

I know nothing about that, you will have to do some research. The decision for the PN brand not to offer it is the responsibility of BT Consumer Division, of which PN are merely a brand.

The price is the price - your choice to accept it or go elsewhere.

Maybe “no pathway” meant switch product AND retain PTSN telephony. All changes of supplier / product WIIL result in the loss of voice over PTSN.
How would this work wrt changing now from ADSL to FTTC, would an existing landline phone service be kept or lost? Also Plusnet Emails.
(Asking in connection with another post)

@pvmb As the OP is moving (or thinking of moving) to PN from another ISP, then all PN can offer them is the available options from OpenReach, i.e. SOGEA VDSL.
If the individual changing from ADSL to FTTC was already with PN, they would lose the landline, but not the emails.

BT, EE, Plusnet has confirmed to me, there is no migration / transfer from SoGFast to SoGEA. The line have to cease first then order new line for SoGEA. The same also go from SoGFast or SoGEA to FTTP - no pathway to migration / transfer in future if FTTP become available.
This is getting ridiculous, stupid ruling from Openreach/BTWholesale.
