Line Training or Reset

Hello , About 9 days ago my internet kept dropping out and all so had a lot of errors upstream and down, Ive since found the problem and fixed it, could someone advise Will my line gradually settle and go back to normal or do I have to ask for a reset of line, I have no errors and line is stable.Stats are now

SNR Margin (dB) 7 6.4
Line Attenuation (dB) 10.8 6.7
Errors (pkts) 0 0

 Any help would be appreciated

Re: Line Reset

@jono What was the cause of your disconnections/drop-offs? How close to 'normal' is your present connection?

So long as the underlying are actually resolved, the DLM (dynamic line management) should bring you to back to best achievable speeds over a couple of weeks or so.

Re: Line Reset

Thanks for replying, It was the built in main BT socket needed replacing and has been stable for a couple of days now, I live only 100 mtrs or so from the exchange so for the last 18 yrs with plusnet have enjoyed max rate with speeds o 72 to 73mbps. At the moment download speed roughly 63mbps.

Re: Line Reset

It should recover automatically, but if it hasn't after a couple of weeks, call Support and ask them to to do a reset.

Re: Line Training or Reset

Margins look reasonable, but are a tad meaningless without the sync speeds.

Re: Line Training or Reset

Hello, Sorry about that, don't know why the stats disappeared, I got a bit confused and lost the original topic but it's obviously reappeared hence your reply but thanks for replying. I have been told line should retrain over time.

Re: Line Training or Reset

They could if the line is not chronically banded.
