They say
Quote Validity: Google Public DNS complies with the DNS standards and gives the user the exact response his or her computer expects without performing any blocking, filtering, or redirection that may hamper a user's browsing experience.
The Google DNS servers are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
I've checked and they do resolve www.humbleyardpractice.co.uk

Is the problem happening *all the time* or has it become intermittent since Thursday? I'm asking as we switched half the DNS platform to use a different package.

Welcome to the Humbleyard Practice
The Humbleyard Practice covers the area south-west of Norwich catering for an increasing population of almost 16,000 patients.
We operate from three separate surgeries in the villages of Cringleford, Hethersett and Mulbarton.
There is an excellent team of eleven doctors who work together to provide an extensive range of services for their respective communities.
Please click on the links on the right for your chosen surgery.
You will be able to download registration forms and order repeat prescriptions.

I think you may need to gateway hop so that you are using the DNS servers located in ptn. See http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,79576.msg669500.html#msg669500
