Internet access

My laptop is a brand new HP with Windows 8 and I will reinstall the router again and see if it makes any difference and I have tried to connect on my desktop with Windows XP and that went of about 2 min after switching on.

Let us know how you get on.
It sound's like you're computer is not re-connecting after it is switched back on from sleeping. I've come across this thread that appears to be similar that may help your laptop?

Is your desktop wired or wireless?
