I called support but they can't seem to do anything but say they'll get back to me sometime in the future (considering it took more than 5 months for an engineer to get to my property I have little faith) so I did some of my own research and it seems that the problem is to do with configuration but I really could use some help. When testing internet connectivity in my router settings page it says the IPv4 Gateway connectivity is down.
Can anyone shed some light? Perhaps attempting to connect to broadband with a standardised username instead of my specific plusnet one?

Are you using your username@plusdsl.net login?

I'm not greatly knowledgeable about the settings etc so perhaps it would be easier that I just showed the connection information page, but yes I am using my plusnet username log in:

Primary 212.159.13.49
Secondary 212.159.13.50
I am not sure if you can do this from the admin page of your router however.
Try this guide: http://community.plus.net/library/dns/how-to-change-the-default-dns-servers-in-a-thomson-speedtouch-...

What's the history of your problem? Have you ever had a working PN connection? If not, have PN activated your account?

I would advise alexbear to disconnect (PPP session not pull the wire out) and reconnect in the router's settings. (it may be labelled as something else depending on what model of router you have)

Try disconnecting the internet from your router admin page, and then doing a reset of your router (put a pen/pencil in the reset button on the back of the router and hold down for 5 secs). Run through the setup again and see if that helps.

I ordered fibre broadband in October and had normal speed internet installed shortly after which has worked to a satisfactory standard since. Since then, I've had 9 engineer appointments to come and install my new faceplate and modem. 7 of them in a row didn't show up, the 8th came but couldn't get access to the cabinet and the 9th came today and said he'd done his responsibility and the modem in my flat was connecting to the cabinet fine but the connection was stopping there. So I'm pretty sure my line was activated but I suppose it's a different story for fibre configuration
@others
Ok thanks I'll try the (I assume) factory reset

Everything else is the same
Edit: changed username and password to my plusnet user instead of tr069@plusdsl.net and IP changed again to 172.16.104.161, still no good
