@longshanks67

If you are Sky customer you may get discounts if you take broadband from them using the CityFibre network, sky also offer to pay up to £200 towards your leaving fee.

Full Fibre 900 used as a price example with Zen is currently £25 per month with Sky, they do offer a landline phone service.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

@longshanks67

You've had a night to sleep on all this new information, you now have several paths that immediately bypass your ongoing Plusnet broadband issues, have options on how to migrate and retain your home phone to a digital telephone service avoiding the abysmal EE route, and can future proof your internet connection by upgrading to full fibre.

So what is the plan ?

Re: Intermittent BB outage

The home phone, we are going mobile only so when its gone its gone, I'm looking at full fibre availability and the supplier options along with pricing at the moment. The biggest annoyance I have is that these  BB outages we have experienced since May have not yet been discovered or explained in depth, the only feedback I get is that it is an external fault and that can cover a myriad of explanations. I expect Openreach too offer a more positive explaination for us very frustrated customers.

Fix

Houses 22, 23, 24, 25, 31 and 32, can get "WBC FTTP"

Houses 1 to 21, 26 to 30, 33 to 38, and 40 to 54 can get "FTTP on Demand"

... ...

For Plusnet to provide you with full fibre, you'd need to be in one of the houses with access to "WBC FTTP"

@longshanks67  Is your home one of those that can get Openreach "WBC FTTP" full fibre ?

Re: Intermittent BB outage

After yet another open reach engineer ( 3rd) a two hour visit including climbing the pole on the corner then informing  my there was a loose cover at the top which he replaced. All good for 6 days blue light on the hub  ect. The off again I reported it yet again too plus this time after checking all I was told the fault was in the street cabinet and would be fixed by 2330 hrs that night and yes indeed it was, next day off again.

      I have now got a new answer too this 3 month problem,  City Fibre with full fibre. After now nineteen years a Plusnet customer I am somewhat reluctant  too leave but these intermittent outages are now beyond a joke with no foreseeable solution. Open Reach too blame.
