Beware Google will autotype you to L254 not 1.254 when you do this it leads to dodgy webpages where you might lose control of your router!
I find that very hard to believe! Exactly where is Google 'auto-typing' this?

I am very sorry, @tearlec , but I still find it extremely hard to believe - it has never happened to me in nearly 40 years of home PC use.
Also, it would help if you actually answered questions asked.

Start typing in the address Google will pop up a similar address with L instead of 1.254 it leads to website Norton blocks
Ignore Googles 'suggestions' and force the correct address.

Stepping back from this a bit and looking afresh and unfettered by any knowledge of how these things work!
I can understand the Hive upsetting the router wireless traffic, but crashing the WAN connection when the boiler is on (assuming that this is what happens)? I find this Hive hub needs to be within 1m of the Router hard to believe. Surely if the Hive was crashing the router it would not be synchronised with the boiler starting? I would expect the Hive and Router to be constantly communicating
I would be more inclined to look at @Dan_the_Van's comment re REIN from the boiler, especially if the router and boiler are on the same mains ring. My first move would be to move the router to a different mains socket and/or run it from a filtered extension lead.

@tearlec When the router is flashing orange, have you listened on the landline to see if there's any interference/crackling on the line?
Edit...I thought you might still be on copper landline, but just realised that you say you are FTTP, so ignore the above.

but just realised that you say you are FTTP
TBH I'd missed that!. If it is FTTP then for the Orange light to be flashing, the router must be seeing the physical WAN port drop and reverting to looking for DSL sync. Or maybe its being reset but not sure if that would revert to DSL ?
As @jab1 said back here https://community.plus.net/t5/Broadband/Flashing-orange-router/m-p/2046706#M375585 the router event log would be useful

Not really been following this thread that well but yes post 12 states Full Fibre.
From my checking the Hub two always auto senses the WAN connection at power up, it also detects a reconnection of either the DSL or WAN port, no power cycle required.
When the Hub light is flashing orange what do the ONT lights show?
For a flashing orange light on the Hub the WAN cable would need to be disconnected or the ONT might be powered off.

@RadioFox @MisterW @Dan_the_Van
This comment I find interesting - it suggests the Hive unit is the culprit:
