However since you've tried all the alternatives it does seem you are stuck with G.DMT at the moment. Do you have an alternative ADSL2+ capable router to try to confirm it isn't a router problem?

Just done another another BTspeed test
Download speedachieved during the test was - 4631 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 600-7150 Kbps.
Your DSL Connection Rate :6336 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 5000 Kbps
It says max on the line 7150kbps... Could than mean I'm still on normal ADSL ?
Quick look on http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/max_speed_calc.php
Gives a line speed of over 9500 on a 39db Attenuation for ADSL2+ ????
While dslMAX is 7100
Thanks again for helping with this ...:)

It's a common bug that has been affecting people changing products for a long, long time (months if not years). One day they will fix it (Oh look, there's some bacon going past the window!)

Assuming it is significantly above 6dB power down the router, wait 10 minutes then power up again and see what you achieve. Best to avoid further re-syncs though.
