It should tell us if the link is totally dead or if it's there but not allowing any useful traffic.

Hi
speed dropping again, going intermittent, notice my line stats on my router have changed upstream db has gone haywire as you can see in the link below

I believe the upstream is going negative db when you see this number.
my normal snr upstream when ok is 24db
Don't tell me this is a line fault again, i couldn't wait another week again for them to dig up the hole again, to say the line is alright.
There must be an end to this after 7 weeks and 5 sfi engineers.

i have been updating my ticket 3 times but nobody has ever replied in the last few days. This has now gone on for 7 weeks, so prompt would be good.

rebooted router line stats back to normal speed back to 12 meg throughput
can anyone at plusnet explain what causes this and why i need to reboot my router to get back to norm
