Dial in 0800 number for Broadband users

As we currently have power cut here, was following instructions posted by Dave T some time ago re the alternative 0808 dial up.
I have modified to "user name" but hand sshake doesn't complete, and get Error 691.
Any clues Plus Net

Hi Gel,
Unfortunately the free 0808 dialup service is only added when you have an open fault ticket with us. You can use 0845 1400101 with your account username and password (without the realm on the end) to connect but you'll be charged at local rates for the call.
Hope that helps,

Tks Orbrey Cool By modifying Dave T's original instruction to delete the @ and all after it, it did handshake OK, but there was no internet access.
In addition to an 0845 one,, would be useful if there was a non geographic too, for those of us on free call packages, which excludes 0870/0845 etc

But for internet access, PN have to be paid somehow and they do this by using 0845, not unreasonable as you mnight be a PAYG customer not on a payment plan

Any clue on what PN plan to do when revenue-sharing is banned on 0845 numbers? 0844?
