Do you still use a landline telephone with that ?

Have you checked to see whether you can upgrade from ADSL to "WBC SOGEA" or "WBC FTTP" ?
Enter your phone number in to the BT Broadband Availability Checker
It would be helpful if you could post here a screenshot of the result table and the text below it,
but being careful to not show your telephone phone number (just above the table).

Ok so we'll disregard the Belkin

I was given the TP Link as a cast-off about 5 years ago. This was dual frequency, and when I had connectivity issues a couple of years ago I tried the TP Link which seems to work happily.
I'd still be interested to know what we've got to work with here, so knowing the model of TP-Link would be useful.

I doubt the Belkin or TP link are as good as the Plusnet router.
The Plusnet Hub2 is one of the worst routers to use on an ADSL line, so I'm hoping you have a better TP-Link.

Not sure what you are suggesting here.
I am on a copper landline to minimise cost - and being deaf it just so happens I have a BT 200 phone for the deaf.
I appreciate this will not be an option when copper ceases - but I am a (STATE) pensioner and trying to keep costs down.

so you say:

Who is in charge of the case? PlusNet sent me their router and tell me to use it.
Another poster wants a print-out from it - but doesn't say how to get the bloody .csv file out of it.
Now you are suggesting reverting to the TP Link which PlusNet have told me they cannot diagnose from.
Confusing to say the least.

I have told you how to get the file - either something is wrong with your Hub, or...
@Dan_the_Van - any ideas?

So you have multiple problems here.
1) You appear to have a line problem, causing the Hub2 to show an orange light
2) Using a Plusnet Hub2 on ADSL can often have the symptoms of a faulty line - but without the light turning orange
3) Openreach are retiring landline phones, probably in the spring of 2026, so you need to move your phone number to VoIP.
4) Unfortunately Plusnet will discontinue your ADSL broadband when your telephone services is retired.
5) Moving to another ISP for ADSL is a very expensive option, and unlikely to support VoIP phone service.
In the short term we need to get your ADSL working for now, but you need to be thinking about getting off ADSL before 2026, if you are to continue using your BT 200 phone, or lose your broadband service (when the phone number is retired)
The easiest solution is if Openreach "WBC SOGEA" or "WBC FTTP" are available, then you could upgrade to that,
alternatively it will likely be cheaper if "new fibre providers such a G Network" are available to you.

That is understandable.
However, traditional landline phones will probably disappear in about six months time. The good news is that if you convert your BT 200 to use the digital equivalent (VoIP) so that your calls go via your broadband connection, the call charges are a fraction of the cost of analogue phone calls.

Copper isn't ceasing until after 2030, however analogue telephones will be retired in 2026.
You should be able to continue using your BT 200, if you migrate your phone number to a VoIP service, and buy an adaptor (£40) so that you can plug your handset in to a spare LAN socket on your router.
HOWEVER
1) VoIP digital telephones don't work very well with ADSL lines
2) Plusnet don't support ADSL broadband without the associated telephone service, so when the phone is retired your ADSL will vanish.
You need to identify what is the most cost effective way to get off ADSL, and then we can help you migrate your phone service.
If you need help identifying non-Openreach full fibre providers in your area then just ask !
If you want help finding a cheaper broadband, @corringham can probably point you in the right direction for "social tariffs" and what state benefits etc you might need to qualify.

Surely Dave just wants his ADSL mended - and it all screams a dodgy bit of copper as a voice call upsets the data side - than muddling his thread up with worrying about VOIP stuff that is still over a year away just now.
One problem for today - the rest is many many months away and all the ISP's will manage the swap with plenty of warning.
At worst it is getting an ATA to put between the BT200 and his router.

1 - VOIP is fine over ADSL, even grim ADSL like 2Mb, as long as you are the only user
2 - Surely we expect the the PlusNet data service will continue (as some sub grade of FTTC) and the analogue phone will stop, not the other way round. The issue might be avoiding a default/forced transfer to EE - who seem to have problems making their analogue phone socket on their router work

To download the error log from the Hub 2 router you need to be logged in with the router admin password - found behind sliding panel at rear right of Hub 2 also supplied on little sticker that came with router.
Starting from the Hub 2 router Home page (as per your uploaded image), click on Advanced settings then on Technical log. You will be asked here to enter the router's admin password - you will then see the full status page. Click on Event log at the top of the page and you will see the log entries. These can be filtered as necessary using the Category: Select button.
To download, just click on the Export button and a .CSV version of the log will be downloaded to your PC.

I can't check now as my Hub Two is off, to add to @pvmb if using a tablet or smartphone you may need to view the router page viewed as a desktop site. The setting is usually found by touching the three dots menu which takes you to browser options.
Hope this helps https://www.geekdashboard.com/enable-desktop-mode-on-mobile-browsers/
The reasoning behind the log file is it provides the history of what happening and the frequency of the Orange light coming on.
With regards to your first post, it looks like you have a line fault which needs investigating.
Does your landline phone crackle when you make phone calls or do a line test by dialling 17070 using option 2?
If there is any noise on the line it needs looking at. Looking at alternatives to your current service can be done once the fault has been fixed.

1. VoIP will work over ADSL as slow as 256kbps (as provided for SOTAP), but may need some QoS settings applied in the router to keep a satisfactory voice quality if there is other traffic.
2. When PSTN is withdrawn (before 2027) then in locations where ADSL is the only OR broadband available, Plusnet will be unable to provide any broadband at all. They also can't transfer the broadband to EE, as neither Plusnet nor EE offer SoADSL. They could transfer the broadband to BT as they do offer SoADSL, but BT will probably suggest 4G/5G instead - which is considerably more expensive.

OP may not hear yhe noise on the line as
"I am on a copper landline to minimise cost - and being deaf it just so happens I have a BT 200 phone for the deaf."
Also, OP make sure you are registered as a vulnerable customer with PN.
As someone mentioned, look at social tarrifs if you qualify you could get a BT broadband with digital voice for less that what you are paying PN.
