Cold calls

I have had 3 calls this morning (in about 2 hours)  saying that my internet supplier is trying to get hold of me and that my internet connection is to be turned off in the next 24-48 hours.  Press #1 to speak to someone.

I have hung up on each occasion as I know this is a scam.  However not everyone will realise.  Is there anything that can be done by plusnet to catch the calls?

Re: Cold calls

@msbernice7 To answer your question, there is nothing Plusnet, or even BT can do about these calls. The majority are made from outside the UK, and even those originating inside are usually VoIP calls, which don't originate within the fixed-line network and display a 'spoofed' ID, so they are untraceable.

My advice is - if you aren't expecting the call and don't recognise the number, ignore it.
