As odd as it may sound, the answer really is 'all of them, and none of them'.
Any measure of throughput can only ever be an instantaneous measurement which is affected by many other variables such as congestion, faults, traffic shaping, inadequencies of measurement methods, etc. The potential for variation is therefore entirely to be expected. The impact of this variance can only really be reduced through repeated tests and simply taking a mean average although of course it will only give you something of a ballpark figure, but this often sufficient for many (most?) situations.

thanks for your reply mathew. The 8903 from mybroadbandspped made me laugh (is that the right word?) as my exchange has a max of 8mb and im 1.5 miles away.
As alice said to humpty dumpty " a word/ download speed means what i want it to mean , nothing more, nothing less."

The reason for asking is that some security packages really muck up mybroadbandspeed such as Kaspersky.
I haven't heard of McAfee doing that but you should try running the test with it disabled
Assuming you are saying that ccleaner takes out some of the McAfee entrries I can only think that is has as low opinion of McAfee as myself
