Increasing WiFi Latency and packet loss

Hi All,

Wondering if you can help.  I'm having a lot of trouble with Wifi connectivity issues relating to latency and packet loss.

A router reboot normally resets the situation.

Example of ping times:

PING 192.168.1.254 (192.168.1.254): 56 data bytes

64 bytes from 192.168.1.254: icmp_seq=0 ttl=64 time=841.131 ms

64 bytes from 192.168.1.254: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=240.567 ms

After router reboot:

64 bytes from 192.168.1.254: icmp_seq=104 ttl=64 time=7.453 ms

64 bytes from 192.168.1.254: icmp_seq=105 ttl=64 time=2.613 ms

64 bytes from 192.168.1.254: icmp_seq=106 ttl=64 time=2.423 ms

Signal quality is excellent, RSSI is -47 and Noise is -101.  I'm on channel 1. no other wifi networks on 1, and only one on 2.  Other networks are channel 6 an beyond.

Any ideas?

Regard,

G.

Re: Increasing WiFi Latency and packet loss

Hi there.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing latency issues.

I've made a change to the settings on your line which should fix this.
If you're still having issues can you try a wired connection and let us know how it goes?
