A colleague of mine had an engineer come out on a Saturday so I know for a fact that they do Saturday visits. Can you try to book one for this Saturday? Thanks.

Try being the operative word.
I'll do what I can but I don't hold out much hope.  It depends on the type of engineer.

Just as form of update, I'm still waiting on BT to come back to us requesting that we book engineer times.
Once I have that request, I'll phone them.

OK. Looks like it's going to be a very long time before this issue is resolved. In that case, can you send me a test router asap - not a D-Link, please! Thanks.

Just wanted to say that a BT engineer visited and changed the copper wire connecting my property to the local exchange. It took him about an hour and my broadband is working again. I would like to thank everyone at PlusNet, especially Nick who took responsibility for keeping me updated.
