The checker at http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome states:
Quote Your exchange is ADSL enabled, and our initial test on your line indicates that your line should be able to have an ADSL broadband service that provides a fixed line speed up to 2Mbps.
Our test also indicates that your line currently supports an estimated ADSL Max broadband line speed of 8Mbps; typically the line speed would range between 7Mbps and 8Mbps.
Our test also indicates that your line currently supports an estimated ADSL2+ broadband line speed of 17Mbps; typically the line speed would range between 10Mbps and 19.5Mbps. Our test also indicates that your line could support an estimated ADSL 2+ Annex-M broadband upstream line speed of 1.5Mbps and downstream line speed of 17Mbps; typically the downstream speed would range between 10Mbps and 19.5Mbps.
However, the UserTools exchange checker states:
Quote BT have announced a ready for service date for this exchange. The estimated go live date is between 8th June 2012 and 31st July 2012.
and SamKnows states: RFS date set : 31/07/2012
The information provided by BT infers that ADSL2+ is available at the exchange.
Does anyone know if my interpretation is flawed and I'll have to wait until August?
cheers
Graham

Quote Your exchange is planned to have ADSL2+ by 31st August 2012. Our test also indicates that your line currently supports an estimated ADSL2+ broadband line speed of 13Mbps; typically the line speed would range between 7.5Mbps and 17.5Mbps. Our test also indicates that your line could support an estimated ADSL 2+ Annex-M broadband upstream line speed of 1Mbps and downstream line speed of 13Mbps; typically the downstream speed would range between 7.5Mbps and 17.5Mbps.
Does yours have a similar bit to mine that I have made bold.
Lots of people have complained about the phrasing used as confusing.

That's a good question and is the reason for my post. If it was not yet enabled it would certainly have had some indication of a go live date.
However, the text quoted above is exactly as displayed.
cheers

I guess you too are not located in an urban area.
I was still on the old warbling modems of the 56k type until 2005. Went from 1Mb to 2Mb and then maxDSL in the space of around 14 months, but it's stagnated since. Sky and TalkTalk got into the exchange last year, but so far I've resisted to fall for the LLU's. As for fibre, I doubt we will ever see that.
IIRC there wasn't even an RFS date set for 21CN until early Feb this year, so you may not have too long to wait.
cheers

Currently sync'd at 18207 kbps with a BT profile of 16.06 Mbps.
Could someone give the PN profile a nudge please.
cheers

The exchange checkers are still showing an RFS of 31/07 though.

Switched to 21CN ADSL2+ last Wednesday and have been pleased as punch with the outcome, not only with the help I've received from the PlusNet team (re: line reset and profile), but also from the members here on the forum, especially Anotherone who kept me on track (re: testing).
Update: Training Day 7
So far I've had 3 resync's initiated by the Exchange MSAN, all of which occured around 2pm and all have given an increase in downstream speed.
After the second resynch, I did perform a couple of manual reboots over the weekend as it looked as if I had picked up some random noise elements, also replaced the lead between the filter and modem.
Last readings on ADSL 1.
May 16, 2012 14:03:29 Line 0: ADSL link up, Bearer 0, us=448, ds=8128, SNRM us=23.0, SNRM ds=10.8
First readings on ADSL2+
May 16, 2012 14:09:05 Line 0: ADSL link up, Bearer 0, us=931, ds=18167, SNRM us=6.3, SNRM ds=9.0
May 18, 2012 13:53:15 Line 0: ADSL link up, Bearer 0, us=1159, ds=19395, SNRM us=6.1, SNRM ds=6.5
May 20, 2012 03:28:43 Line 0: ADSL link up, Bearer 0, us=1163, ds=19355, SNRM us=6.3, SNRM ds=6.0
May 22, 2012 13:48:37 Line 0: ADSL link up, Bearer 0, us=1144, ds=21243, SNRM us=6.8, SNRM ds=3.0
Each resync from the exchange has dropped the Downstram Margin by 3db, starting at 9 and now at 3. I'll continue to monitor the connection until the end of the training period.
It seems that the BT Profile is following these changes promptly, however the PN Profile still needs intervention.
Attached are the latest BT Speedtests and a graph from Speedtest.net covering the period from an under-performing connection on MaxADSL (caused by a duff router) to the installation of a new router and the transfer from 20CN to 21CN to date.
I'll update again at the end of the training period, due to complete on 26/27 May.
cheers
Graham
