Installed today - line speed query

Finally had my FTTC installed today at the third time of asking (the joys of Openreach).
I believe I should be on a 80/20 profile, but the line speed in my profile says 37mb. It was hitting 75-76 earlier on (when the service first went live mid afternoon). Anything to be worried about or just the 'training' phase?

Hi there,
I've adjusted your profile to match your sync speeds, you should see an increase in the next 10-15 minutes.

i`ve had mine switch over to PN today from BT 76mb and i`m only getting 37mb thats with wired and wifi with 2 routers.

this is a bit strange as i`ve had fibre for 12mts with no faults on my line now i`ve lost my speed overnight.

Our bad I'm afraid but I've just changed the speed profile on your account so see how things go now.

Try it now, just made a change to the speed profile and changed it back to what it should be again.

just tested it on bt wholesale
download speed 44.46
up 14.98
ping 25.25
thats wired connection

Glad to see the profile is right but sorry to see the speeds aren't what they should be. I'd advise heading to the faults troubleshooter next: http://faults.plus.net

cheers i`ve logged a fault, but i cant see it being a fault on the line as it was fine till i switched this morning

Router now wont form a pppoe connection at all. Have tried resetting the router and modem already.
Edit: Scratch that, connected now. Still not 80/20 though. I'm fine if this is as good as it gets, but it'd be interested to know if there's still anything set incorrectly on your side

Ah, you had the stale PPPoE connection issue and had to wait 8 minutes (a separate problem being investigated).
Can you run the BTw Performance test (ignore the red preamble except make sure no other programs are using the Internet) and at the end of the first run, click the Further Diagnostics button, enter just your Phone number and Run the Further Diagnostics Test. Do a Copy and Paste of the results and post here (no need to grab an image).

Further diags doesn't run, tried that yesterday and just now. Doesn't like my phone number.
The Performance Tester is currently unable to run a speed test for your broadband connection. Please try again shortly, however if this problem persists, raise the issue with your service provider.

Oh what a pain, because it gives the Downstream IP Profile for your line and that x1.033 on FTTC tells you your DS sync speed.
What's your Current Line speed (Login required) currently saying?

I had it downloading at 70 odd mb yesterday afternoon, speeds got worse as the day went on
