Further reduction in Usenet speeds

Quote from service status:
Detailed description of work to be performed:-
We have identified that there are a number of Binary Usenet services that are not being classified correctly by our traffic management platform. Currently this traffic is getting assigned to our high priority Gold and Titanium queues which has the potential to affect time-critical services such as VoIP, gaming and web browsing. We will be making a configuration change to rectify this.
Expected customer impact:-
Customers on certain account types will notice reduced speeds when using these services, especially during peak-time hours.

how much slower can it get - today at peak times we had speeds of around 10kB/s - are you suggesting this is too fast and you are going to reduce it further.
Perhaps it time PN started to adjust its charges on a 'priority of use basis' then I think usenet users should see a £10 per month reduction on their bills

Re: Further reduction in Usenet speeds

Today problems were caused because a central pipe fell over and the network was unbalanced for a short while
You should be seeing better speeds this evening.
