This is a bit of a long shot, I'm a new PlusNet customer (from Be ADSL2) moving to FTTC on Friday, with an estimated speed of 80Mbps. I plan to use my Cisco 887VA for PPPoE, replacing the OpenReach + shipped router.
I'm intrigued as to the throughput people have attained using the 887 series routers? - The following document suggests a max of ~25Mbps:
http://www.cisco.com/web/partners/downloads/765/tools/quickreference/routerperformance.pdf
Though I'm expecting more than that, as the numbers Cisco provide have historically been pretty low compared to reality. I'm expecting to use IPv4 NAT, a reflexive ACL firewall and that's about it. No CBAC etc,
Thanks,
Dave

Should anyone else stumble across this post, I ended up blogging about it here - http://hope.mx/cisco-887va-vdsl2-throughput
The Cisco 887VA is good for ~9MBps (72Mbps) of traffic, more than that I haven't really tested.
