Hi,
I have a relatively old BT Voyager 2110 wireless router which has just seen me through a "interesting"
migration from 20CN to 21CN and a "upgrade" to ADSL2. After a couple of months of erratic performance,
including a BTW line fault things appear to have stabalised for the moment. (see stats below)
Now I am looking at higher wireless speeds and did a bit of search on this Netgear router.
As usual reviews seem mixed but overall not bad if avoiding
the early firmware. Also PCWorld have a bit of an offer on at the moment.
Any thoughts plse

That's a massive amount of line attenuation. I believe certain routers are better at coping with this than others so you might want to seek out a router with a good reputation in this respect.

Hi ReedRichard,
Yes it is but perhaps I should have said my BT line is 6.6km from exchange so not unexpected.
In fact I think the DS attenuation is a sort of default maximum, the upstream attenuation is partly
as a result of limiting the upstream speed.
But you make a very good point about what I should be looking for in a replacement router.
Thanks for your feedback.
