FYI We're adding an explanation of rDNS and how to change it on to the Static IP page that you see once you've added one, this will be in a few weeks time.

So the solution has been to add a warning label rather than change the default from username.plus.com to ip.add.re.ss.plus.com? (Or the suggested solution of giving an option of default rDNS style)

It's much much quicker for us to add some text rather than change our DNS systems to alter the default. I'm not saying we won't do it, but for now we've gone with the text.
