This is a Greenby Migration query but slightly different.  I've had an email saying that there will be a charge of £15 a year after 30 days...however in the FAQs it says the service will be free for 2 years?   Also, is it a £15 charge per email address?  I have an email address, however attached to this as email addresses for my 2 daughters (they have seperate mailboxes).  Would this be a total of £45 for the year then, or just the £15? ... Thanks so much.  Sometimes its hard to see the woods for the trees, and there is so much rubbish online too.  The reason I was resistent to opening the 365 stuff was beccause I had seen the school version and recoiled with horror....and what I use at work is way beyond that.  I knew my work version would be expensive so had stuck with my posh 2007 version until the 365 verison reactivated when I upgraded my One Drive subscription...but I mistakenly picked up the wrong Outlook app.  Really annoying how something like that can appear on your machine.  I'll remove it.  Can't believe it was fooled, I did think something was very wrong! ... Thanks...where is 'File' at that you are referring to?  I've examined the icons closely.  The 'new' Outlook is a different icon to the 'classic' one which is the same as the 365 subscription icon....so 'Classic' must be the 365 subscription? ... View more

Hmm.  I checked out the apps on my machine, and attached is what I am seeing.  So, this would surely indicate the Outlook version is part of 365?  Athough checking out the App list, I see Outlook (new) and Outlook (Classic).  Is the (Classic) one the 365 one then...and the (New) one is some sort of rogue infiltrator that has randomly appeared?   ... Thanks its the 'new' Outlook version as described above.  I've downloaded nothing, it was on the machine when I got it and it updated recently, it reactivated when I started paying for One Drive. I have tried to repair it to no avail, have both repaired and reset it.  No emails have come in since last Friday 25/10.   Have never clicked on the Microsoft 365 button.....not sure if that is access to a worse browser verison of what is on the laptop ... The Apps are on the machine, they were on the machine when I got it.  They have just reactivated.  They didn't over right Office 2007.  It is Office Enterprise 2007 I have and a good one.  The only problem now with Outlook is that it cannot index anymore, so has no search functionality.  This is a total pain, and one of the reasons I was keen to try and hook up into Outlook 365.  I have my hotmail account on it too. I did search far and wide for some sort of fix for Outlook 2007 and indexing but alas don't think it is possible. ... View more

Ha ha, yes I would agree it is a pig.  This is the version that appears to be free with my One Drive subscription of £5.99 a month: Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2024.911.200 (Production).  The lack of ribbon fuctions and drop down menus compared to my Outlook 2007 make it utterly unappealing to me.  I maybe yet have to find some functions though.  Maybe its thought making it clean and sleaker improves it, but to be it looks poor.
