Tell me why, I don’t like, I don’t like (Tell me why), I don’t like Mondays, Tell me why, I don't like Mondays, I wanna shoo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oot the whole day down... Actually that's a bit harsh - today's been alright really! In fact today is one of those excellent Mondays that marks the start of a 4 day week! I suppose you'll want to know what my colleagues have been up to? Here's Colin with the Web Team update...
I've only been in this afternoon, so as punishment (!) Andy's asked me to write the Web Team EOD for him... Dan's been working on some problem fixes and documentation for an upcoming project he's been doing the design work for. Andy's also been working on projects, preparing content updates for it. I've been chasing down a couple of things I left hanging at the end of last week, and getting some answers to a couple of questions that I need for some forthcoming work. Sam has had his crayons out, designing some visuals for some project stuff. No-one else has decided to answer me, so I can only assume they are busy or not here
Most definitely busy.. we only have Nick off at the moment! Next we have Catherine from QA...
Fortunately things aren't at quite their usual fast-moving level in QA today, so while we've all been industrious as bees, it's been more on the level of a quite hum than a manic panic. In a change to his automation work, Gavin's been doing some work on our staging platform, ably assisted by Pete, who has also been updating our faults testing plan. Matt 2 has, once again, been wearing a pointy hat and carrying a staff in his role as The Gatekeeper for our live platform. Gary has been doing some work on a tricky home phone issue with Dan, one of our developers. Nigel's not here (on holiday, the lucky man!). Matt 1 is also not here, although that's sickness not holiday. Paul has been working with Rys on some problems. As for me, it's been an unusual day - I came in at 6am to roll out our exciting new LivePerson chat application, and then my computer decided not to work, so I spent the morning looking through my hard drive to see what I needed to keep while our rather marvellous IT team found me a new PC to work on. And now I'm off to the pub 🙂
Pub on a monday?!? Not too shabby. Finally it's Mand from Comms...
It's been a fairly quiet and relatively sane Monday on the Comms desk today. I'm attributing this to the fact that Chris is skiving again. Bob has been knee deep in email as normal and has been even angrier than usual, having mini-rants all over the place today. I have to say it's rather amusing to watch though. James has been working on some training for our CSC, and hanging around the forums. Matt has been working on the newsletter, and concerning us all with his musical taste (The Vengaboys??? Seriously??? :P). I've been writing some content for the community site, and bragging about my two day week this week :). You'll find your Comms Commic for the day here.
