Ah! It's the end of week, and quite a busy one for me as well! I've spent the majority of it with some external ISO assessors as they check us for the ISO9001 certification. It's the cumulation of a good deal of work through out the business to make sure all our processes are detailed and appropriate and we are eagerly awaiting the write up which should be with us in a few weeks. Hi everyone its me Rowan from sunny South Africa. Customer Services really busy today with most of the team assisting on calls and tickets during the course of the day. We have a full staff in as well which is really pleasing. Dave and Nick (Ed: from the UK) here as well with Dave busy running from one end to the other helping the guys on the floor whilst Nick's out speak to Shan Lenny and Karen. Shena is off shift enjoying the lovely Sun today whilst Devendree, Sameer and I are currently here monitoring the calls queues, key performance statistics as well as assisting the guys on the floor, not forgetting me keeping an eye out on the South Africa versus Australia match currently on That's all from me guys enjoy your Friday evening & speak to you soon
Next up is Jen from the HR Team
Well, first and foremost, we've been doing loads of recruitment. We've had 4 posts internally in Plusnet and across BT, plus quite a few (scrap that...loads of) temps starting. As a result, we've been making sure that all the bits of behind-the-scenes-work flows nicely - from liaising with managers and agencies to sorting inductions. Plus, of course, making sure we've got all the record keeping and admin done! One of the things on our People Plan is to improve the way we monitor equal opportunities, so we've been asking all employees to update their information. Another thing we've started to do is build 'process maps' - straightforward diagrams that illustrate our commonly used HR procedures. We've been helping out with Plusnetter of the Month, doing a handover...oh and a load of glass blocks have been delivered for when it's awards time. As it's coming up to the end of the working year, annual stuff is kicking in for us. We've got stuff to wrap up - like holidays and performance reviews for this year. And we've got stuff to do - like planning for pay review and next year's learning and development calendar. Anyway...I'm trying to get finished up before I head out of here tonight, as I'm now off for a week. So....
