Has Apple decided that the iPhone 3G is obsolete
I heard about iOS 4.3 and fired up my iPhone to discover iOS 4.2.1 is the latest available. On checking on Apple's site I see that 4.3 is not compatible with my phone but the 3GS onwards.

Stick to Android phones, even if the manufacturer stops supporting your phone, there will always be some hacker somewhere ready to bring you the latest and greatest developments.

Not completely surprised, the 3G uses chipsets which are completely different to those used in the 3GS and onwards, including the iPad and AppleTV2. It would be a development headache to do support those older phones.
