Re: firefox update

Nice try - but Mozilla never release updates like that - as I'm sure you.re aware @rongtw

Wonder if it's wannacry trying a new attack vector - the source site looks v.suspicious - and a FF update delivered in that format - never in a million years.

Re: firefox update

Thanks for posting this as a heads up. Thumbs Up

It does appear to be a bit dodgy.

Re: firefox update

@rongtw - You got that for a reason so please check your PC over just to be on the safe side, it appears repeatedly then you may have been hijacked.

Re: firefox update

It is all down to choice I guess, I can't see past it (or Thunderbird for Mail) myself, so best option would be to download, install and run it for a while and see what you think. It's all very well others commenting but this is for your use not theirs.

From what I have seen on this forum,..... Chrome does a lot of unsolicited covert spying and reporting back to google... which, may be true,... or not... and you .... may... be able to adjust some settings ...

as @Mook  says... choice is yours, as you will be the one to use it ... or not... it may well have some features that you would like to use that are not availabel on Firefox.

Re: firefox update

I use a mixture of three browsers depending on a sites content/needs and for keeping things separate.

I mainly use FF for general browsing, Chrome for content that contains Flash and IE for banking.

Re: firefox update

It's as secure as any other browser.
