asus k55a ?

this has got me stumped at the moment

Been given a asus k55a Laptop  to fix , No Keyboard so cant get passed log in screen .

Tried the F6 which is suposed to bring up factory reset , but F6 key dont work also Del key dont work either to enter Bios to switch boot sequence to USB , have any bright sparks any idea,s

I am not sure what you mean by no keyboard as the first thing I would have suggested is plugging a keyboard into the USB port

Jim i may have not explained right ,, the keyboard is there but not working , USB Keyboard ?? don't know it may not recognise it until it boots into OS i may be wrong will try in morning

The recovery is the F9 pressed during boot up

A bit of Mr Google has helped , apparently its a software problem with win8.1 which is quite common on this Asus laptop .

What i have managed to do is Download a win10 iso Burn to Dvd , the Laptop boot sequence must be CD then HD as it wont boot from USB ,, anyhow its now running win10 fine just have to update drivers and should be all fine
