Just a quick update.
Haven't re-installed W7 yet as I have too much to do. Will probably leave it till next year. But all's fine with the new SSD.
I am currently converting some 8GB mkv video files to a little over 2GB each without noticable loss of quality.
Before using the SSD for temporary files each mkv would take around 2 hours. Now each is taking just under 1 hour.
Quite happy with that.
