Re: TP Link not helping

Thank you. We might try a higher PLA as you suggested. The speeds are still much better than they were when we had soles of just 32. He was just expecting it to be nearer the 500 that’s all.

Re: TP Link not helping

Thank you. I think we will see how he gets on with the link or perhaps a higher spec link before considering external cables. He is getting better speeds than he did when we had standard broadband but now we have full fibre he’s getting around 100 but may try the higher spec link too compare.

You'll be lucky to get anywhere near 500Mb out of a PLA!
I have a pair of 1000AV ones (TL-PA7017) , as @Dan_the_Van said earlier, they max out at around 150Mb when on the same electrical circuit. Connect them across different circuits and you'll drop below 100Mb.
The AV2000 ones like the TL-PA9020P will give better performance but how much better I'm afraid I don't know.

Re: TP Link not helping

@SMB thanks for responding, in many forums people quite often don't reply to threads.

With the AV1000,1200,1300 or av2000 ones the biggest constraint is the house wiring. getting 100mbits (assuming thats via a speed test) is pretty good for av600.

I would say getting 500mbits from even av2000 is pushing it.
