STYLUS - annoying problem

I use the Firefox Extensions add-on known as "Stylus".  Have been using it for years, and it has bee very good,

During the past couple of days, it`s behaviour has gone silly.

I use it mainly on GOOGLE search and on Plusnet. to get rid of the horrendous glare from the white space, as can be seen in this pic.stylus .pngstylus .png

Normally, when I shut down Firefox or shut down the laptop(s) at the end of a session, when I restart the laptop(s) the Stylus is available, but now it disappears and I have to "re-install" it at t he start of a session, which is rather incovenient and very annoying...

( note... I have used "synchronise now" ....but still no saved styles - when I have installed a new version of Linux, and got to the stage of editing the settings on a new install of Firefox, using "synchronise now" always called up the Extensions and the styles from the other laptop or firefox archives .... but not now. )

Anyone else having this problem?  Anyone got any ideas on how to ensure that the styles are saved after shutting down

Ignore him, @shutter - more 'sensible' advice - except that it isn't, as you can't do what he has attempted.

Re: STYLUS - annoying problem

Fix

@jab1  Thanks... Actually, the problem has been "fixed" and I had forgotten about this thread..

It so happens that this fix for another problem... also fixed the stylus problem !

https://community.plus.net/t5/Tech-Help-Software-Hardware-etc/Is-there-a-quot-linux-way-quot/m-p/193...

Short version.  before shutting down the computer/laptop. use the menu buger  drop down menu and "Quit". which shuts down all open sites, and they do not appear when you restart.

Thanks for input. Have a nice Sunday.Wink

cheers

Re: STYLUS - annoying problem

Glad you got a 'BOGOF', @shutter  😀

Although I don't (didn't) have your problem, I've always used the 'Quit' option, otherwise I lose all my sites and have to start from scratch, which is a pain when you have 14 sites (in two windows).
