Mutt email CLI

Does anyone out there use mutt with PN email (POP3 & SMTP) on the CLI?
I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to set it up as I can't configure the muttrc file, TBH I don't really know where to start!!!! Does anyone have an example config file they would be willing to share, or pointers in the right direction?
I am using raspbian on my pi....

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/mutt gives a broad overview of what you need to install.
I'd suggest ssmtp, using the Plusnet Mail Server.
