When downloading updates for mint 13 it often ends with the message, Waited for dpkg - -assert-multi-arch but it wasn't there.
The question is, should it be there or is it not necessary ?
If it's necessary is it just a matter sudo apt get install multi-arch or is there more to it than that. ?

Are you running the 64bit ver? There was an appendium for Mint 14 about needing multi-arch to install wine etc, but not in 13 that I was aware of.

You could try this:-
Quote To enable Multiarch, open a terminal and type the following commands:
sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
apt update

Strange, that's the command to do it in M14 (which I have now switched to Mate edition of course)/
Have a look at that web page above, or just ignore the error if it is working fine.

Thanks.
I Think the best bet is to leave well alone as everything is working fine.
