Re: Is your USB safe

Another article about this: Attack code for 'unpatchable' USB flaw released
If you go to the github page, it only lists a few USB 3.0 memory sticks as "known to work" or contain a supported controller, although that doesn't mean different code couldn't be made for different controller chips.

Re: Is your USB safe

this code there calling bad usb has been around for at least 8 years, its the reason why certain groups of people were only allowed to use drives that are listed as "secure" the cure for the problem is simple "format C: 😧 E; etc"  the code limitation of the driver file in the usb firmware is limited to less than 10 KB (which is the spare space in most firmware storage chips) if you still want the device to operate properly, or the other option is to recode the device id so it auto calls a hidden file on the drive .... W7 wont load drivers from devices unless you force it to it always looks online first, probably to protect against this sort of thing ......
just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you

Were these people allowed to write sentences?

"In The Beginning Was The Word, And The Word Was Aardvark."
