Hi, any help greatly appreciated.
I put our Hub2 into bridge mode the light was purple, but there is no internet connection.
I spoke to Plusnet tech help, the advisor told me they don’t support bridge mode and don’t have any information, he suggested YouTube!
I’m wanting to use it as a modem with Deco ax55 mesh system.
Cheers
Jeff.
Fixed! Go to the fix.

When in bridge mode, the hub 2 will not make an internet connection. You must configure your Deco system to make the connection.
It must be configured for PPPoE with your Plusnet username & password

Hi MisterW, thank you for your reply, I went through it all with a TPlink advisor, after trying numerous things he asked me to connect a laptop to the hub via Ethernet because I couldn’t access the internet, he then said contact Plusnet which was why I’ve posted for help here.
Cheers
Jeff.

@Jeffwd1 he's assuming the hub is set as a normal router, as I said above, in bridge mode it isnt, Its just a modem.
To get internet access, the device connected to it , in your case the DEco X55 MUST make the PPPoE connection!
The details on how to use your own router (which is effectively what you are doing) is here https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/broadband-connection-settings/ ( refer to the 'what settings should I use for a router thats connected via a BT Openreach modem' )
The Deco setup guide is here https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2464/ . In step 8 , as long as the Hub light is purple you're ok. At Step 12 select PPPoE and enter the details as described in the broadband connection settings link above. DO NOT enter a VLAN ID, either select disable if that is an option or enter 0
NB your Deco X55 must be connected to a LAN port (1-3) on the Hub and NOT the (red) WAN port

You only need the Hub two in bridge mode if you are using the DSL (grey) port, if you are using the WAN (red) port then you do not need the Hub two, you connect the Deco directly to the Openreach ONT which can be seen as the Fibre modem

Thank you both, your help and time is much appreciated.
A Plusnet advisor told me the fttc internet connection is Dynamic!
I shall try again using ppoe, the hub2 is dsl and I connected to a lan port.
Cheers
Jeff.

Well they were sort of right!. When you establish an internet connection , you are allocated a public IP address. That address can be dynamic i.e it may change each time your connection is established, or it can be static i.e you always get the same address.
It is however nothing to do with the way you make the connection, that is always by establishing a PPPoE connection with your Plusnet account credentials

Thank you for clarifying that for me, when the TPlink advisor asked me, I told him dynamic hence the confusion and most likely why it failed to connect. 🙄

@Jeffwd1 It's obvious that the TP Link person hadn't got a clue, as already stated the address being dynamic or not is irrelevant and expecting a laptop to connect when the Hub is in bridge mode is also totally inept.
Have you got it working yet, just want to check that you are not on a Full Fibre connection with an Openreach Fibre ONT fitted but an FTTC connection using the phone line.

Hi and thank you.
Definitely fttc dsl from bt master socket to hub2, lan hub2 to Deco, my next job this morning is to try again.
I think I may well have had a inept advisor, thanks to the information from you guys, I can be more insistent should I need to call them later.
Cheers
Jeff.
