How to gain access to my website via FTP Commander

It`s a very long time since I uploaded my website on the Plusnet "free" hosting... I used FTP Commander to do that... but can`t remember how I now "connect" and access the files/folders to add new folders and remove some old files.
I understand the "two way" up/down operation ( I think)..... It is just how to actually access the uploaded files... so I can edit them.  Unfortunately, the Help section assumes you know what they are talking about !...
Any help/advice/noddy step by step guide would be appreciated, please.

OK... Thanks... the tut gave me some idea !... ( the video was a bit iffy, cos it was a female americano voice , and I am hard of hearing, even with phones on ! )...
What I could not remember was where to find the ftp.plus.net etc details from my Website Settings on the Member Centre page...
I have connected OK. and deleted a couple of files... so Thanks  Again
