Ideally it needs to work in France, so consider:
a) approvals
b) plug type

Thanks for the feedback.  I had overloked plug type.  But I see Solway offers a European 2-pin version.  Also the Solway site gives a comparison between WiFi and Home Plugs - thanks for the link.
